Vijay Mahajan is the Founder and Chairman of the BASIX Group. He is a distinguished alumnus of both the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (1970-75) and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (1979-81) and was a Mid-career Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public International Affairs, Princeton University, USA. Vijay co-founded Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN) in 1983, Sa-Dhan in 1998, Andhra Pradesh Mahila Abhivrudhi Society (APMAS) in 2000 and Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN) in 2009. In 1995, he conceptualized BASIX as a new generation livelihood promotion institution and it was set up in mid 1996. He served on the Rangarajan Committee on Financial Inclusion and the Raghuram Rajan Committee on Financial Sector Reforms. Vijay co-authored a book "The Forgotten Sector" and has written over 75 articles. He is the Chair of the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), a global microfinance forum, comprising nearly 40 bilateral, multilateral and foundations in development.
He holds an MBA in Marketing with about 15 years of experience in Logistics & Distribution Management and Research. He has experience in the areas of Business Transformation and Strategic Advisory Services encompassing Marketing, Sales, and Services. He also has professional experience in Service and Automotive Industries with areas of interest encompassing Strategic Marketing, Research Based Strategy Formulation, Process Design and Delivery.
Vijay kumar has 40 years of experience in advertising and consulting. He worked for six years as Marketing Manager of Hyderabad Allwyn Limited handling West Zone. He moved into advertizing by joining Ulka Advertizing. As the Managing Director of Breeze Advertizing for over two decades, he was instrumental in improving client acquisition and retention profiles.
Nikunj is currently pursuing his Fellowship Program from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore. He worked as an Asst. Manager (Electrical) in Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd. Bina, M.P involving erection, testing and commissioning of 33 kV Sub Stations. He did his Bachelors in Electrical engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. He specializes in project management, logistics and supply chain management.
She holds a Phd in Environmental Plant Science and MS in Human Resource Development. Her areas of expertise include Curriculum, Development Leadership Building and Social Development. She is the President of Adhya Educational Society. Adhya empowers children in orphanages and guides them from disadvantageous situations through education development of life skills and leadership development. She is also the Executive Vice President and founder of Generic Indian Kid (GIK).It is a tax exempt nonprofit organization registered in College Station, Texas, USA and supports Adhya Academy of Creativity and Learning.
He holds MSc in Physics and an MBA from the Sri Sathya Sai University Puttaparthy. He is the Founder and CEO of UC, a not-for-profit company whose objective is to improve access to education, health, energy and environmental services, especially for the poor. UC promotes result-based and post-pay development funding for these causes and a broad range of livelihood services. Prior to UC, he has worked with BASIX for seven years heading its micro-insurance vertical and also headed its operations for the North Eastern States.
With an experience of over 23 years, Mr. Vedula, brings the insights of the industry to our campus. His areas of expertise include Mall Management, Project Planning & Management, Sales Forecasting, sales Budgeting, Visual Merchandizing, and Customer Relation Management. He has worked in responsible positions at several reputed organizations like Pidilite Industries Ltd, HCL, Godrej & Boyce Ltd, and Eureka Forbes Ltd.
Rahul Singh B, who holds B.E. (Honors) degree from BITS Pilani and PGDM from IIM Indore, is an experienced product management professional with a strong hold on business fundamentals. He has earlier worked with TCS, HT Campus and CollegeDekho.com holding senior positions. He is currently Visiting Professor of Operations Management at the Aurora’s Business School.
Anuj Singh, with his Post Graduate credentials from XLRI Jamshedpur and Mumbai University is a performance driven professional with 12+ years of rich experience in regional and corporate HR functions. He has earlier worked with Accenture, L&T Finance Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd. He is currently the Divisional HR Head, Hyderabad for CIPLA Ltd and Visiting Professor of HR at the Aurora’s Business School.
Sangeetha Thakur holds two Post Graduate degrees, one in Psychology and another in Industrial Relations and a Ph.D in Industrial Psychology She is a seasoned professional with expertise in Human Resource Management. She has served the industry and academic for over two decades. She earlier served as Centre Head of Akki InfoTech India, head of Corporate Relations in a couple business schools, and HR Manager of a Pharmaceutical company. She is currently the HR Business Partners of Husys and a Visiting Fellow at the Aurora’s Business School. Her areas of interest are OD, Work Psychology, Talent Management and Performance Management.
Rakesh Rai leverages more than a decade and half of experience in sales, business planning, marketing campaigns, team development and training. He was associated with Yes Bank, HDFC and Ashok Leyland before turning an entrepreneur. He is cofounder of In focus RX & Zebra cross and Founder & Managing Partner of Ace Marketing & Communication. He has earned his bachelor of Commerce from Osmania and PGDM from IPM Lucknow. He is visiting professor of Entrepreneurship at the Aurora’s Business School and mentors students interest in Entrepreneurship.
